Hi, I am Maggie Linton.
I'm very happy that you are here reading about me! I live in Hurley, MS. I am a 29 year old graduate of The University of South Alabama with a Bachelors of Science in Health Informatics. I am currently a Clinical Programmer for the University of South Alabama Health System. I also worked at the Mobile SPCA for 5 years, and still volunteer as much as I can since starting my new job. I was actually the photographer for the adoptable pets for two years.
You are probably reading this & wondering.. if she does all of this, why does she do photography?
When I was 16, my parents bought me a tiny & pink, digital camera! All my friends & I ever wanted to do was take pictures of each other and together! On my 16th birthday, my parents made the mistake of buying me my first real camera, a Nikon Coolpix. But was it a mistake? That is when my love of taking pictures began to grow even more. My friends seemed to grow out of it over the years. But I never did. I had such a passion for it. I was, and still am, the friend who always offers to take pictures of her friends, from every angle, with all the great lighting, in every outfit, during every activity or adventure. I never miss a photo opportunity; & I never let my friends or family miss one either!
Over the years, I also found a love for modeling. I loved being in front of the camera as much as I loved being behind it. I have modeled for around 10-15 professional photographers over the last 10 years. I have learned photography from that perspective as well; how to model, how to pose, to hold my chin up, to tilt my head a certain way, what to do with my hands.. I am grateful for my modeling opportunities, for they have taught me how to properly assist my clients during their sessions.
I got my first Canon camera in 2017. I began to practice & learn, taking pictures of friends & family. Over time, people began to ask me more and more to take pictures for them. I continued to grow, educate myself, & gain experience in photography. Before I knew it, after a whole year and a half, I was a full-grown business, now working with endless photography equipment, lenses, cameras, etc! A dream has come true. I have grown into a professional!
I know I have given you tons of information, maybe too much! But you deserve to fully know the person behind the camera, the person desiring to be by your side during life's most special, important moments, to capture them all. I am grateful for your time!
